‘Sup OMies!

Welcome to the site, I’m Lex and I’m a total geek when it comes to the path of Yoga. It’s true, there’s no denying it at this point. For over fifteen years I have been studying, practicing and teaching the art of exquisite alignment. Yes, the physical alignment of the postures we all typically think of when hearing the word Yoga, but more important to me (as both a teacher and a student) is the art of finding exquisite inner alignment.

The further along I journey down this path of Yoga the more and more simple things have become. I started out believing the transcendental moments of awakening and/or the mystical encounters (I’ll be honest - some plant induced others not 😜) were the potent moments that would eventually help free me from suffering and catapult me into living a life that was one with my heart’s geniune desires.

Now I see the spiritual journey as just the opposite. Enlightenment isn’t some altered state…it’s our most unaltered state. And Yoga is a process of realizing this experience in our daily lives. No need to renounce the world and move to a cave in the Himalayas, we can experience the the beauty of truth of who we are, here and now. Enlightenment isn’t an event that happens and changes everything. Believing so only deludes us more than we already are - HA! Can you image? 🤦🏻‍♀️

We all have moments when Yoga spontaneously arises within us if we are willing to make the space for it. (Making space is the key!) Yoga is in the moments we go from feeling incapable to capable, separate to connected, feeling small to remembering what we are really made out of! (fist pump!) Yoga is happening in the moments we have heaviness in our hearts, and instantly like magic there is only love. This is real Yoga. And there is nothing mystical or “woo woo” about it.

This is the Yoga I strive to teach - focusing on the inside first and foremost, then the outside. Don’t get me wrong, I’m known for my multi-dimensional intensity as a teacher. I oftentimes remind my students “We can go fast, we can go deep, we can attempt some pretty compromising positions 😆, as long as there is awareness and breath.”

The form isn’t what is important. Yoga occurs in the formless.

As a teacher, my intention and commitment to my students is to continually point them in the direction where all their answers lie - inside. Yoga is more internal than external. It is more formless than form. It is more unaltered than altered. It’s not something you do and rather something that is revealed when the moment is jusssssttttt right. 🥰

I am a firm believer that if you want to go all the way - realizing your dreams, freedom from suffering, awakening to the truth of yourself - you must pick a path & go deep. Stick with it! No matter what happens, no matter how much turbulence arises within. No matter how f*cked up things get! Find your path, stick with it, and let it take you all the way.

One thing I am clear about. My path is the path of Yoga. I am committed, in all sense of the word. I’m going deep - with or without ya! (hahah) But if you feel the silent call within your heart of hearts to embark on this beautiful and revelatory journey of Yoga, I’m your girl.🧘🏻‍♀️ My heart is full of devotion and commitment to follow my inner call to continue as a student along this path of Yoga while simultaneously teaching all that I have to offer.

My teachings are inspired by my vast studies and sourced from the depths of my heart.

I am deeply honored to sit in the seat of the teacher, and if you choose to sit before me I promise to do one thing: POINT you in the right direction…inside yourself, where your own inner teacher is waiting to show you the auspicious beauty + revelatory power of this old skool thing we call “Yoga.”

Namaste!

Prema,

“A daily practice of Yoga is not an attempt to transport ourselves into some altered state where we are a better, happier version of ourselves. Quite the opposite! Yoga is about returning us to our most unaltered state - who we really are - and enjoying the joy and fulfillment that comes with falling into the groove of being ourselves.”
